Bayelsa: APC Scribe, Timi Frank, Alleges Threat to Life

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Timi Frank, has raised the alarm over a threat to his life by unknown individuals from Bayelsa State following his decision to withdraw his membership from the governorship campaign organisation of Chief Timipre Sylva.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja,
Frank specifically alleged that Hon. Israel Sunny Goli, a lawmaker representing Brass constituency 2 in the  state House of Assembly was behind the threat.

He alleged that he had received phone calls from the lawmaker since he took the decision to abstain from the campaign organisation constituted last Monday by the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, at the national secretariat of APC in Abuja.

“He (Goli) called my phone  lines several times and when I eventually picked the call, he started raining insults on me, accusing me of trying to sabotage Sylva’s ambition as well as insulting the APC guber candidate. The lawmaker said they had had enough of me and that if I were man enough, I should step into Bayelsa State and see if I would not  meet my waterloo.

“He said they knew my house in Abuja and that to trace me is no big deal. After listening to him quietly slamming the phone on me, I resolved to quickly bring to the public notice this latest threat to my life as it is serious,” the APC Chieftain stated.

Frank also said the lawmaker had also sent him a text message insulting him, saying: ‘ I will not watch you insult my boss for any reason. You can’t have somebody like Sylva  in your entire family.”

He therefore called on the state and national leaderships of the party to intervene in the matter to avoid further degeneration of the situation.
